HOW TO GET TO LAPONIA
There are many entrances to Laponia. The first and easiest way is to go to Gällivare by air or train. From there you can take coaches to Ritsem (Stora Sjöfallet) and Porjus (Muddus) - Jokkmokk.
The second entrance is Jokkmokk which you get to by air via Luleå, Gällivare or Arvidsjaur, wherefrom you take a coach to Jokkmokk. If you choose the train you get off in Murjek for a coach ride to Jokkmokk. From Jokkmokk there are coaches to Kvikkjokk.
In the summer it is possible to go directly to Jokkmokk using Inlandsbanan (train). It is also an excellent choice to rent a car in Jokkmokk or Gällivare and drive straight into the real Lapland.
By air
Come to Laponia by air. The closest airport is Gällivare, but the one with most flights is Kallax airport in Luleå. The best connection from there is coach or rental car. From the
airports in Gällivare and Luleå there are daily coach services to and from Jokkmokk.

In the summer there are daily rides from Kvikkjokk and Ritsem to Staloluokta in Padjelanta. It is also possible to order taxi rides to other locations outside the national parks.

By train
After a night on the train you can arrive rested to Laponia. Get off in Boden, Murjek or Gällivare. In the summer it is also possible to take a direct train to Jokkmokk, Porjus and Gällivare by going on Inlandsbanan.
By car
If you want to come by car to Laponia there are many alternative routes. From the south you take the E4 to Luleå and then the E 10 from Töre towards northern Norway. Another alternative is Midnattssolsvägen (the Midnight Sun route) from Piteå via Jokkmokk or Inlandsvägen (road 45) from Östersund.
